Jonas, Chili, and all other things

It's been a while since we last posted. It is usually Nicole doing these things but she is at work and I am up anyway so I decided to give it an update. First off I would like to apologize that the links to all of your blogs are broken on our page. Nicole was messing around with some new templates and it got lost somewhere and frankly I am to lazy to fix it right now.

Nicole got a job as a cashier at the wonderful world of Wal-Mart. It isn't full time, but anything is better than nothing right now. They are cutting everyones hours at Wal-Mart here, and wont be hiring full time until fall. We really don't care to much at the moment, just trying to get ourselves a car right now, and hopefully we will be able to find better work sometime in the near future. Besides our schedules being totally conflicting, all is well :).

Chili is 9 months old now, and we decided to get him neutered. Nicole and I called the 2 local vets to get some prices, and found one for 130 dollars(or so we thought). There was one ten dollars cheaper, but this place asked a lot more questions and seemed more thorough so we decided to go with them. This last Tuesday we took him in to get the operation done. We dropped him off, they told us to pick him up around 3:30-5:00. I called the vet after I dropped Nicole off at work around noon to check on Chili, and they said all was fine and I could get him at 4:00. I had a feeling that something was up so I asked again how much all of this is going to cost. The price magically changed to 152 dollars. 22 dollars might not seem huge to most, but to us its a lot. I was pretty angry and when I went at 4 to get him I asked what had changed. They said 130 was just an estimate, which I say is BS because they asked me all of his specs (breed, weight, age) and then gave me the price. I got it down to 145, but still only paid 130 and had to sign some promisary note. They told me he isn't allowed to lick himself for a week and a half, and no rough playing or running around. After I got home I spent the rest of the evening repeating "No chili!" A couple days later he was acting really weird. He would walk really fast for like 2 seconds and just sit down, so I called the vet. They had me go in to give me a cone for his head (which they should have given me in the first place) because we couldn't stop him from licking himself. That plus some pain meds was another 25 dollars. Safe to say I am going to the other vet form now on. Chili is barely 20 pounds ant it took 4 nurses to put his collar on. I have never seen a more accomplished look on anyone after those nurses got it on him, they were so proud of themselves. Chili lets us take it off and put it back on with ease when we let him eat/drink.

Anyway, now for a bunch of pictures from Jonas to chili before and after pictures. Love you all
