5 hour energy? pffft....

So yesterday my Jeremy, Sarah, Elijah, and Elizabeth came over around 11 am to pick me up to go chill for the day since they were going to be in my part of town. I went with them to frys and stuff, then they bought me an amazing lunch at chili's. I went with them to their house to check out their new tv and xbox 360, which was amazing. We hung out for a while before going over to Shawn's and hung out there for a while. We left around 7 pm and they took me up. Now I woke up around 9 am and had work last night, and so I stopped at a gas station on my way to work to pick up one of those 5 hour energy things, figured I would give it a shot. The roads were covered in rain which made the ride to work kind of scary, but i managed. After I was at work for 3 hours, I decided to take the shot of 5 hour energy. I only expected it maybe to last 4 hours or so, but once I only have an hour left I am awake anyway. I am pretty sure that what I experienced was the closest one can get to taking speed. I couldn't sit still, I ended up reracking all the weights in the entire gym. The energy only lasted 2 and a half hours, after which I felt like a zombie and I was in a terrible mood and had no idea what was going on. It says no crash on the bottle... It's lying to you. To top things off it was terribly windy when I was riding home, but I made it home before the rain : ). QQ more amirite?

this was a good week

so i went to a doctor yesterday for the 3rd time for this ear infection that i've had for 2 months now. turns out, it's not a regular bacterial infection, it's some fungal infection which is why those giant antibiotics i took before weren't working. just my luck to get a fungal infection, right? so now i have to use these ear drops that are a mixture of vinegar and steroids and when i put them in it feels like my ear canal is on fire and then that whole half of my face smells like vinegar for hours. but at least this thing is going to finally go away :)

and today i woke up and opened my blinds and i see my streets and neighboring houses completely coated with snow! and apparantly it's supposed to continue snowing until tomorrow. i took chili to play in it in our backyard, but he kept crying to go back inside :P he's not used to the snow.

this is the view of similar condos from my window, sorry for the screen in there =/

Thank you for keeping the streets safe

Last night I was riding my bike to work like any other night that I work. I was just pedaling away, doing the usual dodging of broken glass bottles that seem to be all over Las Vegas streets. I was just about to turn into the neighborhood that I cut through on the final stretches of my journey to work, when a cop passes me. I didn't think much of it at the time, but the thought of him pulling me over for some dumb reason was lingering in the back of my mind. Sure enough, right after I turn into the neighborhood and I go over the first speed bump, I notice bright car lights at my back. Next came the spot light, followed by the cop car lights flashing away. I pull over to the side and the cop hops out of his car, informing me that I dont have a light on my bike. I told him I was aware of this and asked him what he wanted me to do. He asked what I was doing, I told him I was simply on my way to work. He thought I was lieing because I was going through this neighborhood. He asks "You think you're smart or something? You sure you aren't just trying to duck me?" So i unzip my hoodie so I could show him my uniform, and I told him he was going to make me late. After thinking for a moment, he decided to release me.

I wish this cop would have been around on saturday when I was riding to work and some idiot decided it would be hilarious to through a glass beer bottle at me while driving by. I'm just glad the cops can find time with all the actual crime going on in the world to make sure I'm being a good boy.
